TBC 10 HT HIGH TEMPERATURE TACKY COATING:
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT is a water-based, VOC-free, moderate temperature resistant, transparent masking material that forms a slightly tacky, shiny coating.
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT is used as a water removable, temporary protective coating for spray booth windows, steel walls, and plastic hoses where overspray accumulation must be readily removed. This clear coating is designed to maximize the trapping of dust, dirt, and other airborne debris, while not altering the appearance the original substrate on which it was applied. A corrosion inhibitor in the compound prevents the rusting of steel. Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT forms a non-clouding flexible film which remains tacky for extended periods of time at temperatures up to 180 °F. RECOMMENDED APPLICATION:
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT is used as received, no dilution is needed. Recommended application is with airless spray equipment, however, air atomizing spray equipment, brush or roller application may be used.
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT can be applied with airless spray equipment. A 30:1 ratio airless spray unit will provide good results.
CAUTION:
Airless equipment can be extremely hazardous. It is recommended that all precautionary information regarding the operation of an airless gun be read, understood, and followed.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
The surface to be coated should be clean and relatively dry for best adhesion of the coating.
APPLICATION:
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT should be applied with the air on in the booth to speed drying time. Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT should be sprayed in a uniform film of 10-mils to 15-mils wet thickness. This film will be damp, but non-smearing in 40 to 50 minutes. It will be dry to the touch in 60 minutes. With booth air off, a longer drying time will be needed.
REMOVAL:
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT is readily removed with cold or hot water.
STORAGE:
Tacky Booth Coating 10-HT must be protected from freezing. If product should become frozen, warm to ambient temperature and mix thoroughly before using.
